Isn't it amazing that lemon can come in so many flavors? Take lemon grass, lemon verbena and lemon peel. All extraordinary variations on the same theme. Like the stringed instruments of an orchestra playing their own unique sounds, the members of the lemon flavor family create a symphony of lemon-ness that can't be described but has to be experienced.
Now to bring this symphony to a crescendo, I needed another theme to emerge that would support without dominating. A subtler mint than menthol with an unexpected twist to broaden its dimensions. You are probably already familiar with some lifesaver or toothpaste flavored with the complimentary partnership of spearmint and wintergreen.
I confess, I wasn't first, but my symphony wasn't complete without a dramatic drum roll to waft a cool breeze across the lemon tingling palate.
