Directions

Drip Coffee Maker: Use 1 rounded Tbsp per 2 cups of water.

• Filter Cone: Use 1 rounded Tbsp per 10 oz water.

• French Press: Add 1-2 Tbsp to ‘3-cup’, 3-4 Tbsp to ‘8-cup’ pots. Steep for 3 minutes.

• Espresso Machine: Use the double porta-filter and 102 rounded Tbsp. Brew according to machine instructions.

 Iced Teeccino: Chill brewed Teeccino. Or make a strong brew using 2 Tbsp per 2 cups water and pour the hot brew over ice.

• Adjust brewing strength and drink black or add creamer, milk, non-dairy milk and/or sweetener according to personal preference.

Ingredients: Roasted organic carob, organic chicory, organic dandelion root, organic ramón seeds, natural coffee flavor.

French Roast gone dandelion; that was my inspiration when I created Dandelion Dark Roast for those who want to be gluten free. Remove the barley, add dandelion root, simple as that. But, what I didn’t fully realize was how dark roasted dandelion roots would add their own bitter flare to make this brew uniquely appealing to coffee and tea purists alike. Now I’ve discovered that people love that dandelion bitter under-note and of course, love the detox properties dandelion root stimulates in their bodies.

Every cup combines the health benefits of roasted dandelion root with roasted ramón seeds, French chicory roots and carob pods. Dandelion and chicory roots contain inulin, a prebiotic soluble fiber that feeds your probiotics, along with antioxidants, minerals and bitter stimulating effects on liver function.

Roasted ramón seeds, from the Maya Biosphere Reserve, are also called “Capomo” or the “corn tree” by the Maya, who drank this roasted brew before the Spaniards ever brought the coffee tree to the Americas. Combining the flavors notes of both chocolate and coffee, ramón seeds add depth to this brew. With more dandelion root and herbs per serving than any other brand, Teeccino Dandelion Dark Roast produces a cup where the deep, full-bodied flavor of coffee meets the health benefits of nature’s healing herbs.

    Dandelion Dark Roast

    This Teechino product is the best tasting I’ve had. I’ve tried several other Teechino blends and this tastes most like coffee to me. I love to drink it hot and black or with coconut milk and also iced with coconut milk. Delicious, really good for your kidneys and doesn’t leave me in the jittery, irritable state that caffeine does.

    Love this! I feel totally satisfied when I make it in my French press machine and add my frothed soy or hemp milk. I am glad it is gluten-free as well. It does not sap my energy like coffee was doing. Wonderful drink!

    Very enjoyable

    I have drunk Teeccino off and on for years, and used to like the original Vanilla Nut flavored product best. I have no problem with gluten, but am more comfortable avoiding barley specifically. I’m really happy with the dandelion root and ramon nut formulations. And, finally, the Dandelion Dark Roast Teeccino is the closest thing to a coffee flavored experience. (Helps that they add coffee flavor, but I appreciate an option that is so much better for my health and well-being.)
    I will add, though, that these are such good prebiotics that consuming too much or too often can lead to significant intestinal gas. And be sure your diet is conducive to beneficial flora!

    I’ve tried them all, coffee substitutes. This is the best by far. Truly bitter, smooth and hits the spot every morning! I started by using Almond milk as my creamer. That was nice. But found that black was best. A great product.

    Amazing satisfying caffeine substitute

    Needed a coffee substitute on The Fast Metabolism Diet. Tried the dark dandelion organic and have been using it for several months. I brew it by opening the bag and putting it in my tea strainer inside my small teapot. Let it brew and enjoy. Have been using the bags and have asked the Matter of Health food store to order but it hasn’t happened yet. Can hardly wait for the order to arrive.

    I can’t believe it tastes like coffee.

    I just had my first cup of Teeccino Dandelion Dark Roast. I purchased the tee-bags. I use cream in my coffee and no sugar and it really does taste like coffee. There is a hint of sweetness and I don’t like my coffee sweet, however, I give it a high mark for coming close enough to coffee. I am changing from coffee to Teeccino Dandelion Dark Roast for my health. Thank you for creating this. I appreciate it very much!

    The very best next to coffee!

    I’ve tried decaf coffee and a lot of herbal coffees in search of a gluten-free, caffeine-free alternative, and this is by far my favorite.

    The reason I’m reviewing it actually is to offer a brewing tip – I’ve been making it stronger than the package suggests, and it’s great. For one 12-16 oz. cup of coffee, I use 3 tablespoons of Teeccino and a healthy dash of ground cinnamon. I brew it up in my french press and it comes out great.
