Ginger Peach Teeccino

This recipe is a little more elaborate than some of our other dessert recipes, but the end result is worth it. Lately, peach with ginger has become a top tea flavor. Why not in Teeccino with real peaches accented by fresh ginger? Against the dark notes of a coffee background, you’ll taste “ginger peach” like never before!

Teeccino Cappuccino

Named after the Italian Capuchin monks who wore white hoods, foamy white cappuccinos are the beloved drink of many coffee aficionados. Although cappuccinos are officially brewed using an espresso machine, it is easy to make a great imitation by frothing milk into a velvety foam and putting it atop your cup of Teeccino. There are different techniques for making milk foam. Hand held milk frothers easily whip up a velvety foam after you’ve heated the milk in the microwave or on the stovetop. There are also electric milk frothers that hold milk in as stainless steel container that sits on an electric base. If you don’t have either of these, simply heat your milk and use a whisk or electric mixer to foam it by hand. Or froth cold milk in a blender and then heat it. (I don’t recommend frothing hot milk in a blender because it can cause an eruption and make a big mess!) For an extra flavorful and artistic finish, sprinkle cinnamon, cocoa powder, or shaved chocolate over the top of the frothed milk. If you’re serving this to guests, they’ll never know you didn’t labor over an espresso machine making these cappuccinos!
Course: Hot Drinks

Ingredients

  • 2 % milk froths best and still tastes creamy
  • Different brands of non-dairy milks produce thick or thin froth. I suggest trying a couple of brands to see which ones work best!

Instructions

  • Heat 2 oz milk or non-dairy milk for each mug of Teeccino. Be careful not to scald the milk!
  • Froth the warm milk using a hand-held milk frother or an electric milk frother.
  • If neither are available, use an electric mixer or a whisk and beat the milk into a foam.
  • Let set for 30-45 seconds so that the largest bubbles collapse into a velvety foam.
  • Top each mug with foam by spooning it out of the container.
  • Pour more hot milk into each cup after you’ve used up the foam.

Optional: Shave chocolate with a fine grater and sprinkle over the foamy milk. Alternatively, sprinkle cinnamon or cocoa powder over the top of the foam. For a perfect light dusting, use a metal strainer to shake the powder onto the foamy milk.

    Teeccino Latte

So you don’t have an espresso machine and you wish you could get a Teeccino latté at Starbucks? Never fear, we can satisfy that craving for a rich, milky latté infused with Teeccino yet! Here’s a recipe that hits the comfort food spot and makes your heart sing out YUM loud and clear. Maybe Starbucks will hear the notes sung by those of us who vibrate to a different dance rhythm!
    Course: Hot Drinks

    Ingredients

    • 1 x 11 oz bag or trial size packet any Teeccino flavor
    • 10-12 oz milk or non-dairy per serving

    Instructions

    • Add 2 rounded tablespoons of Teeccino to 10 oz of milk or non-dairy milk.
    • Heat the milk on the stovetop or in a microwave until it is very hot but not scalded.
    • Let it sit for a few minutes.
    • Pour the milk through a strainer into a mug to remove the Teeccino grounds. The outside chamber of a One-Cup Brewer works well for this purpose. You may need to stir the grounds a little to keep the milk flowing through the strainer.
    • If you have a milk frother, whiz up some frothy milk on the top of the cup.
    • Add ground cinnamon or powdered cocoa to the foam and relax with a most satisfying latté that even Starbucks can’t beat!

      Peppermint Stick Teeccino

Children need their own holiday drinks so they can feel like they have something special too. Problem is, hot chocolate has so much sugar plus the stimulants, theobromine and caffeine, that it can put little ones over the top of their excitement threshold. Our suggestion is let them enjoy some mint-y-ness from traditional peppermint candy canes to sweeten a warm mug of Teeccino Chocolate Mint. For an extra delicious bit, dissolve a chocolate peppermint patty in the hot mug to boost the chocolate flavor! Oh yes, adults can enjoy this winter warm-up drink too with a shot of peppermint schnapps and a splash of crème de cacoa. Nothing like this minty mug after getting chilled from wintry weather. Yum!

        Children's Teeccino Hot Cocoa

Children deserve the enjoyment of hot brewed beverages like everyone else, but moms know that good parenting depends on good management of our children’s intake of stimulants like sugar and caffeine. Hot chocolate, the favorite hot drink to offer children instead of coffee, is loaded with sugar to offset cocoa’s bitter flavor. Combined with the stimulants found in cocoa, hot chocolate can send kids’ blood sugar soaring. Teeccino’s Mediterranean flavors with dates and figs provide a slightly sweet brew that can be accented with chocolate and lightly sweetened to taste. With far less cocoa per serving, Teeccino lets you offer your children hot beverages that will delight them without compromising their nutrition.

        Teeccino Amaretto Amore

If it’s Italian, we Americans immediately associate romance and beauty. Truly the monks of the middle ages created a delicious concoction of almonds and oranges when they dreamt up Amaretto® liquor. Can’t you imagine them mixing and tippling on a little bit of this or that in some cavern surrounded by vats? Fortunately the work has been done for you. Now all you have to do is brew and sip blissfully. Teeccino Amaretto Amoré brings romance and the flavor of Italy’s finest to your cup!

        Teeccino Cinnamon Spice

Want a stimulant that will wake up your digestive system and increase your metabolism – naturally? You’ll find it in hot beverages brewed from spices that produce thermogenesis: the production of heat in the body. Spice beverages warm you on cold days, strengthen your immune system, and even help stabilize your blood sugar. Compare this to the stimulation you get from caffeine that puts you in a state of stress, creates spikes in your blood sugar, weakens your adrenals, lowers your immune system and deprives you of absorbing your nutrients. Ok, spices win! Enjoy a spicy cup of Teeccino today!
