Enjoy this cinnamon-scented crisp warm from the oven, topped with a scoop of vanilla, cinnamon, or caramel ice cream!

Ingredients

  • 4 cups tart apples (granny smith)
  • 2 tbs lemon juice
  • 1 cup gluten-free flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar or coconut sugar ( for a lower glycemic load)
  • 1/2 tsp organic butter
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp salt (if butter unsalted)
  • 1/2 cup TeeChia Cranberry Apple

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 deegrees
  2. Peel, core and slice apples into 9 inch baking dish
  3. Sprinkle apples with lemon juice
  4. Work together remaining ingredients, lightly so not to overwork and become oily
  5. Spread mixture evenly over apples
  6. Bake for 35 minutes or so (until apples are tender)

Serve over vanilla ice cream or with whipped cream!
