This rich and fragrant blend combines the zest of cardamom with the warmth and robust flavor of Teeccino for a citrus-filled take on a delicious warm beverage.

Having a dinner party? To spice things up, try adding Grand Marnier, the orange-flavored Brandy liquor, to give your cup a sweet and fruity flavor.

Makes 4 – 8 oz mugs.

Ingredients

  • Seeds from 2 cardamom seeds pods / or 1/4 tsp ground cardamom
  • 4 rounded tbsp Teeccino Herbal Coffee (we used Original flavor because of the orange peel notes!)
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • Whipped cream or frothed milk or non-dairy milk alternative
  • 6 ounces (3/4 cup) Grand Marnier (optional)

Directions

  1. Grind the cardamom pods in a mortar & pestil or measure out 1/4 tsp ground cardamom.
  2. Mix the cardamom, cinnamon and nutmet with Teeccino grounds.
  3. Using a standard coffeemaker, pour the Teeccino/cardamom mixture into a coffee filter.
  4. Pour 8 cups of water into the coffeemaker and brew. If using a French press pot, pour 40 oz of boiling water over the grounds and let brew for 3 minutes. If using an espresso machine, add 1 1/2 Tbsp Teeccino/cardamom grounds to a double porta-filter.
  5. Divide the brewed Teeccino among 4 mugs. Irish coffee mugs are very festive!
  6. Add 1/2 ounce Grand Marnier to each mug, if desired.
  7. Top each mug with a dollop of whipped cream or froth hot milk and top with foam.
  8. Sprinkle with orange zest and serve!
