Here’s a creamy Teeccino chilled beverage with a surprising highlight of pomegranate vinegar that tickles the taste buds with sweet & tangy fruitiness. The citrus notes from orange peel in Teeccino Orange are bolstered by frozen orange juice and made creamy with almond milk and honey.

Fruit-infused vinegars are an enjoyable way to take in the health properties of vinegar, which are reputed to range from enhanced digestion to increased appetite control. In Colonial America, “shrub” drinks were a popular way to preserve fruits in vinegar to create refreshing beverages throughout the year. Although often made with alcohol, shrub drinks can be enjoyed as non-alcoholic beverages too.

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup – Teeccino Orange, brewed in a drip coffee maker or French Press Pot. Chill in advance for a stronger flavor.
  • ½ Can – Frozen Orange Juice concentrate
  • ½ Cup – Almond Milk
  • 2 Tbsp – Pomegranate vinegar
  • 4 – Ice Cubes
  • ¼ Cup – Honey

Optional:

  • Add vodka or rum for an alcoholic “Shrub” drink!

Directions

  1. Brew Teeccino using 4 rounded tablespoons per 8 cups water in a drip coffee maker or 1 tablespoon per 10 oz water in a French Press. Chill in advance or make a stronger brew if you intend to use Teeccino right away while it is still hot.
  2. Sweeten hot Teeccino with honey or another preferred sweetener. Sugar and honey dissolve best when Teeccino is hot.
  3. Pour the brewed Teeccino into a blender and add the frozen orange juice concentrate, almond milk, pomegranate vinegar, and ice cubes.
  4.  Blend thoroughly.
  5. Pour into tall glasses and enjoy!
