Vanilla Nut was the first Teeccino flavor I ever created. I wanted to feature vanilla beans from Mexico where I was working to preserve rainforests.
Vanilla, the only orchid used in food, has become a favorite the world over due to its unparalleled fragrance and complex, heady flavor. Vanilla is indigenous to Central America where it was discovered by the native people centuries before the Spanish arrived. The Aztec Emperor, Montezuma, was said to be drinking an elixir for longevity made from cacao, vanilla and honey when the conquistadors were ushered in for an audience.
Now this may seem like trivia, but do you know that each vanilla bean has to be handled hundreds of times during its 6 month curing process? Doesn’t that bring home the wonder of nature and the cleverness of humans?
It is no surprise to me that Vanilla Nut has always been our best selling Mediterranean flavor. Drink it knowing that you are helping indigenous communities find sustainable livelihoods that preserve rainforests.

"I am so happy that I happened upon Teeccino. These Vanilla Nut Tee-bags are delicious and full bodied. I have stomach issues and shouldn't have coffee. I also have gluten sensitivity and cannot have gluten. Apparently, even though Teeccino contains barley, no gluten is present in the brewed drink. I have had no problems with it whatsoever. I am thrilled to have such a tasty coffee substitute that stands on its own in terms of its complex flavor. "

"My father-in-law cannot drink coffee or tea any more due to a medical condition. This gives him a comforting, warm beverage that he can enjoy without the worry of caffeine any time he wishes. He likes the smoothness and depth of flavor in the vanilla and says he cannot detect any difference between this and a cup of regular coffee. He drinks it "black" without any cream or sugar added."
Carob pods are highly nutritious and contain a variety of antioxidants known as flavonoids. Carob shares flavonoids in common with tea that have been studied to be highly effective in humans for protecting cells against free radical damage.
