  • 1 cup [TeeChia Blueberry Date Super Seed Cereal]
  • 10 dates Pitted, Deglet Noor work best, up to 12
  • 1/2 cup currants blueberries or raisins
  • 1/2 cup walnuts or pecans or pumpkin seeds
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder optional coating
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds optional coating
  • 1/4 cup shredded coconut optional coating

Instructions

  1. Soak the pitted dates in 1/4 cup hot water in a small bowl.
  2. Mash the dates into the hot water with a fork.
  3. In a food processor (some blenders may work too), grind up the nuts or pumpkin seeds until they are small, diced pieces.
  4. Add the TeeChia and blend well.
  5. Add the dates with the water they were soaked in.
  6. Add the dried fruit.
  7. Blend well until a lump or ball forms.
  8. Put the cocoa powder, coconut, and/or sesame seeds on individual plates.
  9. Using a tablespoon, scoop up some of the TeeChia mixture and form into a ball.
  10. Roll the ball around on one of the optional coatings until it is completely covered.
  11. Place on a plate to serve or store in an air-tight container. May be refrigerated for storage up to several weeks.
