When Montezuma was drinking his “Nectar of the Gods”, a brew that combined cocoa beans with vanilla, honey, and chiles, he knew what he was doing. Just a bit of heat generated from those chiles will wake up your system with a gentle prod of warmth for your digestion and circulation.

Further south in the Andes, his Incan neighbors were imbibing maca, a superfood tuber that empowered their warriors with the strength of the Gods. Meanwhile, the Maya were roasting their ramón seeds and drinking this coffee-like beverage before the Spaniards ever brought the coffee tree to the Americas.

Maca Chocolaté is an inspired beverage of the New World that combines traditional superfoods from the Incas, the Maya, and the Aztecs. Maca, ramón, cocoa and chilies will provide just the right amount of stimulation for a fully energized day. INGREDIENTS

Ingredients: Roasted organic carob, organic barley, organic chicory, organic maca (a blend of black, red and yellow maca), organic ramón seeds, natural chocolate flavor*, organic cocoa, organic chile flakes. 

*All Teeccino flavors are extracted from plants and comply with organic standards.

Processed on machinery that also processes products that contain almonds.

INSTRUCTIONS
  • When opening the envelope give a little shake at the top to move the tea bag to the bottom of the envelope. This makes sure the filter bag is below the tear-point in the envelope.
  • Pour 8 oz of boiling water over the tea bag in a cup and steep for 3-5 minutes.
  • Dunk the bag several times in the beginning for the best brew.
  • Use 2 tea bags for a stronger brew in a larger mug or tea pot.
  • Add milk, non-dairy milk and sweetener as you prefer.
HELPFUL HINTS
  • Adjust brewing strength to your own personal preference. If a brew tastes too strong, simply dilute it by adding hot water, milk or nondairy milk.
  • Brewed Teeccino can be reheated because its flavor doesn’t go stale like coffee does. Store brewed Teeccino in the refrigerator for up to a week.
  • Iced Teeccino is delicious too!
