What better way to enjoy the holiday season than by cozying up with your friends and loved ones, sipping a delicious eggnog martini for an after dinner treat. If you want to try your hand at making homemade eggnog, my great grandmother Alice’s famous eggnog recipe can be found here. Keep in mind though, her recipe already calls for rum and brandy, so just add Kahlua™ to taste! The recipe below makes a delicious cocktail with your favorite store-bought eggnog.

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces dark spiced rum (or vanilla vodka)
  • 1 ounce Kahlua™
  • 1 ounce strongly brewed [Teeccino French Roast Chicory Herbal Coffee] (or certified gluten-free Dandelion Dark Roast)
  • 3 ounces eggnog (or dairy free egg nog)
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • Dash of cinnamon powder

  1. Combine ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake vigorously for 20 seconds until cold and frothy.
  2. Strain into a martini glass and dust with cinnamon powder or nutmeg.
